21 Years Old - No Income - Invest $1,000 in Roth IRA

Hi I am 21 years old and I have 2 years left in college. Currently during this pandemic I am not working, so I will not be contributing much more until after graduation. I want invest $1000 in a Roth IRA. Should I invest in Fidelity or Vanguard? Would my retirement year be 2065? If that is the case, currently only Vanguard offers a target date index funds for my year- (VLXVX). Please advise how to best invest my $1000 right now. Thank you!

Welcome @Tranjot_Manku!

Do you have any debt? How much cash do you have?

Hi Jeremy, I have 0 debt, fortunate to have parents that support my education. I only have $1,200 cash. I usually make money from my part time job at a tutoring center but during this pandemic, we are not working and probably won’t for a while. I am living at home with my parents and don’t really need the money right now and want to start investing asap because I am young.
