Hi! I have been investing on my own in Index Funds, mostly VFIAX and VIGAX. Would a financial advisor be worth it or would they just do the same?
Hi Casey, a financial advisor will not make you any more money than you would from picking your own funds to invest in. This is why we teach people how to do it themselves so they don’t need to waste money on high fees! 
Financial Advisor, probably not. They may have some software and such but will probably put you into different funds etc.
A financial planner on the other hand may provide more value to you. A planner will look more at your overall financial goals and work with you on insurance, tax optimization, and more things in that nature.
