I am granted RSU’s and Stock Options annually. Some of the RSU’s have vested and I currently have 54 shares of my company stock sitting around $3,100. Which is more profitable in the long run (or as ideally as can be explained)? My company or the VOO, for example? I can’t seem to find a clear answer on if I should sell my company stock and put all into VOO, ex, since I’m about 5-8 years behind in investing. Or keep my stock and also invest in an ETF/mutual/index fund. I do understand there would be capital gains, but it seems like if i had 10 full VOO’s versus 54 of mine company, chances over the next 30 years would yield higher returns. Company stock is CMCSA for reference
Hey Tiffany!
I’ll cover this in tonight’s office hours (7/7/2021) with the recording available afterwards on the course site!
If you’re not signed up for office hours, you can sign up here.
Awesome, thanks!! I’ll be on! I bought the PCF course; just haven’t started yet.
