Say for example you have 1 million in a target index fund. You have it set at reinvests for capital gains/dividends etc. Where do you find that information on Vanguard if you wanted to know how much your account is making? I can’t seem to find that information…Does it only reinvest if the market is positive obviously, right? Any help is appreciated.
Dividends are paid out quarterly (generally) and vary by fund or stock company. You should be able to see your Dividends in your transaction history. Most brokerages reinvest capital gains if you choose to reinvest Dividends. It’s usually a reinvest all or nothing.
