I am 17y/o and I have a part time job. I to invest my money instead of just saving money but I am a complete beginner. Which app should I use to invest(Europe based) and what should I invest in? I earn around 400€ every single month and I dont have so much expenditure. I save 300 euros every month and I want to grow that money by investing.

Hey @tulsirijal1

Are you planning to go to college? Do you know what you’re going to study? How does college work in your country? Are you going to have to pay for it? Do you have any debt, or expect to take on any debt to get through college?

What I’m getting at is at your age/income level, it’s great you want to invest, but to have the BIGGEST impact on your life, it’s better to first focusing on getting a great degree in a field that’s going to pay you well over the course of your career. If you just save your cash in a savings account until you graduate, relocate, find a job, etc, and you do all that without debt, you’ll be WAY ahead of the game. If you still have a cash surplus you can dump it all into a brokerage account then.

If you do want to at least get a taste of it now, I think it would be great to put a few hundred into the market to learn how it works. I’m not an expert in non-US investing, but I believe Interactive Brokers serves most of Europe and offers low fee ETF trades. I would consider a three fund portfolio.
