Maxed out roth IRA & am self-employed. Where to invest next?

Hi!

I own my own business which means I don’t have access to a 401K (or do I?) & I’m almost 35. I just maxed out my first roth IRA contribution & am wondering how I can invest more money now. I put all of the IRA money into VFFVX & am curious if I should just open a regular brokerage & invest more in the same place? I can also save with a HSA. This might seem like a silly question, but I’m new to this & want to make sure I’m investing in the right direction.

Thank you!
Victoria

Since you’re self employed, look into setting up a SEP IRA plan. You can contribute quite a bit of money to one IIRC( 50k? ), but I’m not that familiar with them. And I think you can have both a roth ira and a sep ira. An HSA is a also a great tool for investing/retirement.

So it looks like you have several different vehicles to use

@Jeremy Why do so many of these posts never get answered?
