I have a lump sum of money I want to invest and have had great returns from ETFs. I would also like to draw from the investment monthly. I know short term capital gains and or Fee’s will be a factor but does anyone have experience with this? More or less wondering if this is the best way to invest while still using some of the funds each month.
Hi! May I ask why you want to invest AND withdraw funds? Why not use your lump sum money every month?
I could actually just use the lump some without investing it but the thought of having it sit with no gains is hard. To give context, I will be drawing from this over the next 4 years to supplement monthly income until another investment pays out. I thought it would be better to at least get some gains while I draw on the lump sum.
