I’m just now to the point where I can start investing into my Roth IRA that I have with TD Ameritrade. My employer does not offer a 401k and I haven’t opened an HSA account yet. I only have $150 into a VFIFX retirement fund. I noticed that TD Ameritrade charges $50 every time you invest into this fund. If I switched to Vanguard or Fidelity, could I eliminate this cost or significantly reduce it? If not, how would you recommend I invest into the fund with TD Ameritrade to avoid fees as much as possible? Every quarter? Thanks in advance Jeremy!
I’ll cover this in tonight’s office hours (6/2/2021) with the recording available afterwards on the course site!
