Solo 401K or SEP IRA- 1099 Employee

Just finished your course, thank you!! I am contract employee so I get a 1099. After contributing to my Roth IRA, would you recommend a solo 401K or SEP IRA? I didn’t see anything mentioned for self-employed as far as those options vs just a regular taxable brokerage so just wanted to get your opinion.
Also, do you think they are easy enough to set up on my own just like the other accounts you talked about or would I likely need assistance. Thanks!

I talked to Fidelity about setting up a SEP and then I talked with my tax preparer and came to the conclusion I didn’t have enough 1099 income to make much of a difference or worth my while. We have investment properties that yield about $28k before expenses. I suppose every little bit helps how’re I just haven’t pursued it much.

I suppose I should though and start taking advantage of time and compounding interest.
