Target date index fund that matures at age 69?

I’ve been trying to decide between a 2050 or a 2055 index fund. I turn 65 in 2051 & was leaning towards 2055 since I can withdraw beginning age 59.5. Is that a good idea? Sorry if this is a silly question.

Hi Victoria,
Not a silly question! People tend to choose a target date after age 65 if they want to be more aggressive. What’s your reasoning for wanting to do that in terms of withdrawing at 59.5?

Thank you for responding!

I was having a morbid conversation with my boyfriend last night LOL & we were like “what if we die before we’re 70!”

I’ll go the more aggressive route.

Thank you!
