Use ESPP to invest in index funds?

My employer offers ESPP at a 15% discount. I wanted to sell these proceed and then use part of the earnings to invest in an index fund. I was wondering what anyone else thinks or does in regards to ESPP.

If it were me, I would personally sell them ASAP and throw them in index funds.

Does your employer have a set limit of when you can sell? How confident are you in your company?

There are no limits @Chadmethner. The symbol is CRM and the stock has doubled in value since I joined. Thanks.

I am very confident in the company :grinning:

I’m guessing Jeremy and the PFC team would say sell it and buy index funds. Since you are confident in your employment another strategy would be buy and hold. I wouldn’t recommend holding if it makes up more than about 10% of your portfolio unless that’s part of your entire portfolio strategy and asset allocation.
