Voya Retirement Options

Are you familiar with Voya’s retirement options? Would the C989 Amer Cent Retirement 2050 Trust IX be considered an index fund? I don’t believe so but Voya is a bit confusing in my opinion at least. Switched companies - going from fidelity 401k to voya 401k and not sure what to make of it.

As I see it the two best options are below with the target date fund as Voya (.23% expense ratio I believe) and then another option provided with image attached is a vanguard option as well and I think that has a .04% expense ratio.

Thank you!!

Hey John,

I don’t think you’ve given enough info to know for sure. Not all Voya retirement options are the same. Your company actually gets to decide what investment options you get. That said, IX can be an abbreviation for index and 0.23% is a very low expense ratio on an employer sponsored fund, so I suspect that is an index fund. You could look inside the fund to see what it holds to be sure?!
