What are my options for health insurance and an HSA if I'm self employed/starting my own business?

I am planning on making a career change and starting my own company and want to look into best options for benefits and specifically an HSA.

I was curious of y’all’s thoughts and even what y’all do for insurance/HSA if you’re in a similar situation.

I think in the Obamacare/ACA era there aren’t actually THAT many ways you can go? If you want to be insured and avoid the tax penalty, you basically need a ACA approved health insurance plan. There’s a website created to go and buy one of those. That’s just what I did. I basically went for the plan with the lowest premium that also (as an added bonus) is HSA compatible. My strategy is always to minimize the premium, and put that extra money into an HSA to cover the deductible if a larger medical expense comes up. Here’s the site that can get you started:
