I recently opened a 457 plan because one of my coworkers recommended it to me. I bought an index fund within it but my question is, what is exactly a 457 plan? Is there any resources that I can read to learn more?

A 457 is bascially the same as a 401k however it is offered to people that work for the government in some capacity. Here is a link that offers a lot more information on it
