What to buy: VT or VOO or Both?

Hello I was wondering about this since VOO is the Vanguard 500 Fund but VT is the Total World Stock Index Fund of Vanguard, If I buy VT I also have the VOO companies in there? if that’s the case is a good idea buying both or with just VT is fine? Thanks

Hi Christian,
Yes if you buy VT it essentially contains VOO within it. Like Jeremy says, buying both is like buying a combo meal AND fries. But the combo meal already has fries! You can buy both if you want a heavier allocation on the S&P 500, but buying VT only is just fine. :slight_smile:
